Carrdus School is a non-selective, independent day prep school taking girls and boys aged 3-11, on the borders of Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.
Visit us
Parents may visit the school at any time, either on an Open Morning or for an individual visit arranged through the School Registrar – Fi Gaskin. The visit will include a tour of the school, with a chance to meet some pupils and staff, followed by a meeting with the Head.
Register a place
Parents may indicate an interest in a place at Carrdus by completing the online Registration Form below. As part of the registration, a non-refundable fee of £100 is required (details on the form). Once the Registration Form and Registration Fee have been received a place will be registered in the year group requested.
Registered pupils are invited to spend a ‘Taster Day’ at school in the term prior to their entry where they can meet staff, the pupils in their class and also purchase any sports kit required. Nursery children are invited to come in for an hour’s ‘Come and Play Session' with a parent/carer in the term prior to their entry. References will be requested from current schools/nurseries.
Parents of registered children will be kept informed of forthcoming Open Mornings and Pathway Explorers sessions (normally in September and May), as well as other Carrdus events.
Joining Carrdus
Places at Carrdus are offered subject to a reference and reports from a child's current setting and a successful Taster Day or Come and Play Session at Carrdus. Once a place has been offered a Joiners Pack will be sent out in the post.
Parents may accept a place at Carrdus for their child by completing and signing the paperwork in the Joiners Pack. Signatures from Parents or Legal Guardians are required to sign the Acceptance Form which should be sent back no later than two terms before the agreed start date but sooner where applicable.
Parents are also asked to acknowledge and agree to the Parent Contract - Terms and Conditions of the school, the Behaviour and Discipline Policy. Information is required Parental Permissions need to be agreed and Health information. Once the Acceptance Form has been received the acceptance of a place will then be confirmed by the school in writing. Pupils can join the school at any age providing there is room within the particular year group.
