Fundraising for Charities
At Carrdus we encourage all our children to get involved in fundraising efforts for local, national and international charities and our whole community is involved with the process of choosing which ones to support.
We believe that through fundraising for charities, our children, through their own individual Carrdus Pathway’s, learn so many different things from helping others and recognising that others may have significant needs to crucial life skills including setting targets, asking for money for a good cause and persuading people to give. In the last year we have supported the following charities:
- Katharine House Hospice
- Duchenne (Muscular Dystrophy) UK
- Sport Relief and Children in Need
- ROSY (Respite for Oxfordshire’s Sick Youngsters)
- Christmas Shoe Box Appeal
Supporting our Community
We also believe it is vital that our children are out and about helping others in our local community, learning to give in other ways. Since the beginning of the year, groups of children have performed at the following local destinations:
- Wardington House Care Home
- Katharine House Hospice
- Banbury Rotary Club (Carrdus and Tudor Hall being main sponsors)
- Outdoor Carol Singing in Banbury
